Projects and Programs

Our energies and resources are focused on helping the women of La Esperanza in Honduras.  We would like to expand the the program to many other rural areas of Honduras; with your donations we will be able to so. Obviously this takes commitment by people like you who are willing to support the end to gender and domestic violence.

In time our organization will move into other Central American countries that are suffering from the same disease of quietly accepted gender and domestic violence.

Our projects include working with other women’s organizations to help

. Market  the women’s art and crafts

. Teach women of villages marketable trades and skills

. Offer micro-loans to encourage entrepreneurships

. Assist women in learning money management skills

One of the most important things for our organization is to work with the women of COPIHN and engage the Ministry of Women's Affairs to help.  These are allies that we are working with to lay the foundations of this important work.  We have secured the land from COPIHN and it is waiting for us to provide the money to build the buildings, and address the needs of the abused women.

We are also working with Foundations in the U.S. and around the world to procure much needed Grants to help in the funding.

Finally, we are working with Antioch University, Los Angeles, California to help by send their bi-lingual students to coordinate with the women of Honduras. They will be helping to start up the psychotherapy programs. These graduate students will be teaching the women and children how to use co-counseling to help in their own recovery and in turn help others. This builds self esteem in abused women and will further their self-sufficiency.  Men will be taught how to form their own groups for Anger Management and coordinate workshops for other men, off-site. This will help empower them to make the changes needed to end gender and domestic violence.

It is possible to empower people without taking away the dignity of running their own lives. If we all put our talents and specialties together, we can change this world because another world is possible.
